Sidley Report - February 2025
On a recent litter pick in Sidley, we met and spoke with a man of around 50 years old. This man had met Jesus Loves Bexhill litter-picker Su last year when he was at a very low place in his life and he said she had given him a reason to live.
He was invited to Freedom Church and to their Marketplace, and we are hopeful that he will take up the invitation.
The team in Sidley, having only recently launched out onto the streets, are beginning to get to know their community.

Mary had the opportunity to bless a lady in Lidl by paying for her shopping. They are forming good contacts with the shopkeepers.
Mary has met another lady three times now and has shared the gospel with her; she said she would consider what Mary told her. This lady said she is “off religion”. Her father was in a sect which put her off, but Roger believes that as she meets faith people, this can change.
The Sidley team goes out every second Saturday of the month, starting at the New Inn and finishing at Freedom Church.
Sally, the minister, recently started to join us litter picking, and also a newly formed prayer team from Freedom Church go out on the preceding Saturday, and we believe that this helps to spiritually clear the ground.
